She is here!!!!!!

Well it finally happened! The last couple days have been pretty crazy. We knew she was going to come early... At about 4:30 Leisha's water broke and we frantically tried to find a place for Emma to hang out. Luckily a sister in our ward (who happens to be the nursery leader and married to my thesis advisor...) was willing to watch Emma for as long as we needed. I quickly dumped Emma off and she supposedly had fun playing with their little dog and piano. Leisha and I checked in to the hospital and got ready for what we thought would be a long night. Leisha had to have her grape juice!
Leisha was amazing! She was having lots of contractions at quick intervals and managed to hold still the whole time she go the epideral. I left just after the epideral (about 8:10) to go pick up Emma and bring her back to the house for the night. Sis. Robinson was kind enough to watch Emma the rest of the night too! As I was driving to the apartment I got a call from the hospital saying that I should hurry back! So once again I dumped Emma off and scrambled back to the hospital. I arrived at 8:40 just as the doctor was walking in and ready to start the pushing. 3 contractions and 6 minutes later Nora was born! Cutting it close there dad! Nora Ivy Adams 7 lbs. 9 oz. 20 1/4 in. 3/20/2010 8:46 pm
Leisha and Nora are doing great. Leisha is feeling really good (a ton better than she did with Emma...) and Nora is happy and healthy. We are so greatful for her and glad she shares this month with 2 very special girls. I am sure Mara and Henley were there to send her to us!

Hello Snow!

No we didn't get more snow, Emma just wanted to sing you a song! (Notice how she carefully selects her song and then clears her throat...)

For those of you who don't speak "Emma", the lyrics are:

Hello snow, hello snow

Where are you? Where are you?

Everyone is waiting, everyone is waiting

Start to fall, start to fall.

Enjoy!!!

38 Week tummy shot!

So here is the 38 week tummy shot posted by popular demand!

On an unrelated note...It is starting to warm up here and that means the bugs are starting to come out (or should I say in...). Leisha spends most of her day staring at the walls and windows in the kitchen and living room watching for ants. The other local favorite is the "silverfish" (seen below). I am not sure if I would rather have silverfish or spiders...probably the silverfish...

Spaghetti and mirrors

I thought we were due for a new post with some cute Emma pics. So here are a few of her enjoying spaghetti.
She is such a clean eater...
And some cute shots of her playing with a mirror. Don't mind the hair, it was early in the morning...

Winter wonder land!

So a few weeks ago we promised Emma we would take her out to the lake to play. I thought it would be fun to go up to lake Ontario and see the lighthouse and play on the playground. Well when we got there it looked like the frozen artic tundra where no sane living creature would dwell. It was really windy and cold. I got out of the car for a few pictures and just about got blown around on the ice because of the wind. You can see the path to the lighthouse is literally an ice rink!
So we decided not to let Emma out to play at that particular lake for obvious reasons. She was pretty sad so a few days later we went out to Seneca Lake State Park and checked out the playground. It was much nicer. It was still cold, but not windy and miserable. So we let Emma have some fun in the snow!
She loves the tire swing!
Maybe we will get her a motorcycle in the future...

Happy Valentine's Day Leisha!!!!

So it is Valentine's day and Leisha gave me the one thing I wanted most...we didn't do anything! I know, I know, I am a total slacker, but I am feeling pretty stressed with this whole "master's thesis" thing, and Leisha feels pretty stressed with the whole "baby inside her belly" thing. So I am extremely happy that we were able to just enjoy the day without putting a lot of thought into it. Anyway, I didn't want Leisha to feel like I had forgotten her on this day, so here goes why I love Leisha...
Most of you don't know, but Leisha and I were talking about marriage 2 weeks after we started dating! Even that early I knew Leisha was the one. (or at least I thought I did...)
Leisha has always made me a happier person. (look how skinny I was! Leisha looks about the same now...except for the baby strapped to her belly...)
Leisha is freakishly strong...
...and fearless (I mean, it is a moose after all...)
Leisha was crazy enough to marry me!
She loves to travel and will go anywhere with me.
I know this is a picture of me, but it demonstrates Leisha's tolerance of my strange ideas...such as growing out my hair...
She always makes me laugh, like the time she lost both her flip flops trying to jump over a little stream by the ocean.
She has a very pretty neck don't you think?
and the best smile.
Once again the sense of humor...
We have driven across the country 4 times now! I can't imagine anyone else who would have agreed to such a crazy idea.
She is the best mother and is so full of love.
I couldn't resist the opportunity of making 3 Chlarsons mad at me at once...
Leisha has the prettiest blue eyes (this picture doesn't do them justice at all) and has passed the trait on to Emma as well.
Although she doesn't do it often in Washington, I love Leisha's wavy hair. Must be the Dutch in her...
We really have been all over the place.
Love those blue eyes!
...and the smile...
It is hard to tell sometimes, but she also has the cutest freckles!
You can see them here a little better (nice face Emma...)
Gettysburg!
She loves me enough to even go to France and help me collect data for my thesis!
She loves Emma so much.
She is also a good looking redhead...

...but an even better blond...
I know she hates this picture, but I love it. She has that little smile that says "you better put down that camera!"

And other times she really loves the spotlight!

There are so many reasons I love Leisha. Most of them I can't really explain. Many are the little things she says and does. Most of all I love Leisha because she loves me and everyone else. She is the most loving person I know (I think she got it from her dad, who is the second most loving person I know). There is nobody I would rather spend eternity with. I love you Leisha! Happy Valentine's day!

Rated G for Gross!

I'm 34 weeks today! Wooohooooo! I thought I better post at least one prego. picture of me before this little peanut comes. Little peanut ha! I don't think this baby is going to be little.
The title of this post was a warning to all those who might feel a little nauseous after viewing this picture. However, if you do feel nauseous looking at this picture don't tell me. My sensitive hormonal state can only take so much!
So there you have it. My bullet of a belly. For those who have been asking how I've been feeling...I've been good! Yes, a little tired and uncomfortable but nothing to complain about. And for those who are wondering...Yes, I will be getting bigger!
