I Hate Squirrels....

I don't know why it's so fascinating to me...but I can't stop trying to get these squirrels caught on camera. Honestly they are just squirrels...I just took this picture today. The little vermin kept on running past our deck. If Stuart and Bradley were here I would let them go wild on these little rat type creatures with their paint ball guns.

During the little scandal I took some pictures of Emma.

You can just see her little personality in this picture.

Yesterday after church we took a picture of Emma in her little dress that I made her. It was very cute on her.

Caught red handed...

This is a clip of the squirrel that is living in our ceiling...

There is no way this winter is ever going to end if the groundhog keeps seeing his shadow...

We were so excited this week when it warmed up to the very low 40's. We thought that maybe, just maybe, spring was on its way. Then we woke up this morning to about 8 inches of snow on the ground.

Squirrels Squirrels Squirrels

While Richard was off on the west coast we welcomed some new guests to our home. Apparently a pack of squirrels found their way into the crawl space of our ceiling and began to scratch through to the kitchen. We even had a little feather come poking through!

Twilight Movie!

I was first introduced to Twilight from Stephenie Meyer's uncle Kirt Morgan (He is Spencer Morgan's dad, who is Richard's best friend and mission buddy)...we spent April conference with them in 06. He came up to me with the book telling me his niece had written it and since he knew I loved to read he told me to take the one Stephenie had given him (it was inscribed to him). He told me that it was about vampires and what not and I thought it was going to be some boring book. So I took it home (he basically made me) and I didn't start reading it for about a week. But when I did! Holy Cow! I then went home the following summer to Washington for a couple of days telling Nadine, my wonderful mother in law, and my family to get the book and read it. But of course no body did! They all read it a year later! Nadine is the only one that acknowledges this. Anyway... I'm so excited for the Twilight movie! I really hope that they do the book justice. I love how they have Robert Pattinson playing Edward (Cedric Diggory from Harry Potter). Kristen Stewart is playing Bella...I wasn't to excited for her, but that's only because I haven't seen her in anything. You can find out the other cast members at imdb. All you Twilight fans...everyone! If you haven't all ready you need to read Midnight Sun: Edward's Version of Twilight. It's only the first chapter, but oh it's good! Make sure you tell me what you think!

Like Father Like Son...

We decided it was time to comb over Emma's babyhawk. Unfortunately we don't have any hair clips yet, so she ended up looking a little boyish. Here she is getting into the Big Red spirit.

Easter and Stuff....

Richard is leaving me on Wednesday to go to Washington to do some Master Thesis stuff...so Emma and I will be all alone. Yes, very sad. So this last Sunday we did Easter early. We got Emma a little basket, one of my favorite children's books, some pink peeps (that we will be eating), and baby food.
She looks so....excited? Actually I think she could care less. Sunday night we feed Emma, and she decided she wanted to projectile vomit all over Mom and the rocker. This is a picture Richard took after he wiped most of it up. It even got in the cracks of the rocker...yes, very gross. The culprit after the incident. She looks so guilty in this picture it's great. This is the cute outfit that Grandma Adams got Emma for Christmas. She loved pulling up the little skirt. Should we be worried? Yes she is standing. Yes she did fall right after. Yes I did catch her. Emma was so cute in her little hippo outfit that Grammie Chlarson got her.

Emma tried to grab the little hippos from her pants. She wasn't having a lot of luck.

My favorite part of the outfit is the little hippo socks. Emma kept on looking at them it was so cute.

Well that was our doings this weekend.

A year ago from today....

March 13, 2007 was the first time we ever
looked upon our little Bean. I can't believe that was a year ago from today!
Emma is 5 months old and the apple of our eye!
Our beautiful blue eyed baby girl.

New York Winters

This week we had a wonderful display of Northeastern winter weather. It snowed for a day (about a foot), then melted and rained, then froze. This is a picture after the ice storm earlier this week.
After the ice melted it snowed again (about 6 inches) then rained and froze on top of that. This time the ice storm took the power out for 3 hours. Here is little Emma surrounded by candles around 6:30 pm.
Obviously it was a little cold without the heater running!

Solids

Emma has been eating solids for about a week now.
I don't know how they can call mush a solid.
Emma is very cute when she eats.
Every time I do the "aah" sound she just
smiles real big. I guess its really funny.
Sunday Emma scratched herself from between the eyes
down to her nose. But we still think shes cute.
