Isn't it beautiful!

Yesterday we had a crazy storm here in Ephrata. Emma loved watching the storm from the window, she kept saying "isn't it beautiful!". Richard just couldn't help letting Emma have her way, so he took her outside. Don't worry, we waited till after the hail...

Backyard pool party!

Some of you may remember back when Grandpa and Grandma Adams used to live here. There was this awesome pool in the backyard that supposedly "broke" so Grandpa filled it in and planted sod. Now we are stuck with a plot of grass that has no drainage and moves if it gets too much water. So a few weeks ago Leisha got a little pool for Emma (to put over where the old pool was...) and I decided we needed some patio furniture to sit on. So we decked out the backyard and had a little pool party for Emma. She of course loved it and would have stayed out all day until she was golden brown like a tator tot...

She didn't like to walk on the hot cement, so she took it as a personal responsibilty to wet the cement so she could move around more freely.

Leisha of course desperately needed some sun...don't look at the picture too long as you might go blind!

Emma had a great time and we didn't have to pay to get in the public pool and deal with the massive hordes of people.

Backyard pool party 2

Leisha decided that it would be a good time to give Emma a lollipop because we could just hose her down when she was done...

Leisha of course wanted some too...

But Emma quickly took over...

...and now you can see why we gave it to her outside and with lots of water handy...

Nora also made an appearance at the very end...

Richard's hiking trip to Necklace Valley

I just thought I would throw up a few pictures from a hiking trip I did at the end of July. I went with my cousin Brett and Frank Norris (from our ward). It has become a kind of tradition now I think to get one last hoorah in before budding. So this year we went to Necklace Valley just south of Skykomish WA. It was really beautiful. The first 5 miles were a breeze. The last 3 miles were pure punishment. It was literally 3 miles straight up with no end in sight until you finally walk out to the Alpine Lakes.

There were 6 lakes within a close proximity to each other. We stayed at Emerald lake, and were within 15 minutes of Jade lake, Opal lake, Illswoot lake, Al's lake (below)...

...and Locket lake. The views were amazing and each lake had its own unique color.

The only bad parts were the mosquitoes and inclines like the one below!

Adams Reunion!

We just had the Roger and Nadine Adams Reunion two weeks ago. We went to Sunriver Oregon. We got there on June 30th and left on July 6th. Here are a couple of highlights of what we did on July 1st.

Most of my time was taking care of sweet little Nora. While Richard did things like biking with Emma as shown below.

Emma and Ellis looking cute in their helmets.

Emma loved and I mean LOVED her cousins! Here is a shot of the girls playing Rock Band...well pretending they are.

High Desert Museum

On July 3rd we went to High Desert Museum. I mostly just wanted to post the cute pictures of the cousins together.

July 2 was the day all us girls went out. We of course went to Eclipse and got out vampire fill...and werewolf if you are into that sort of thing.
Here is a cute picture of Nora at Red Robin after Eclipse.

Bubbles! Thanks to Grandpa, Emma had her dream come true...popping bubbles, again and again and again!

Can't you just see the love! Emma gazing at Katrina.

July 4th!

On July 4th we went to church in Bend. We took up half the church pughs it seemed. Then after church we took a drive to Crater Lake.
What cute girls!

Nora was pretty cute too.

Crater Lake!!! The water was crazy blue! It was beautiful!

July 5th!

So, a couple of us went white river rafting on July 5th. Richard watched the girls so I could go. I've always wanted to!
Here is the group of us that went.

Kirsten, Richard's awesome and favorite sister, took along her camera so we could get some pics.

Kirsten and Dallas.

Me, after I rode the bull. I got on the tip top of the raft and held on for dear life. They call it "Ridding the Bull". It was a lot of fun, scary, but fun.

White Water Rafting!

These were the Pictures the rafting company took for us. Thanks Kirsten and Dallas for getting them for us all!
